Adam's House of Hope Holds Fundraising Ball in Sullivan

Adam's House of Hope Holds Fundraising Ball in Sullivan

Adam’s House of Hope hosted its Unmasking Hope Masquerade Ball and Murder Mystery on Oct. 9, 2026, at the Sullivan Convention Center, combining an evening of interactive entertainment and fundraising with a mission of helping people find support, connection and hope.

Adam’s House of Hope was represented by Sarah Bryant. The organization itself is named in memory of Bryant’s brother, Adam, who died in the Vigo County Jail. That personal connection gives added meaning to its mission of helping people find hope and access to resources.

The organization serves as a resource hub, connecting people with support. Funds raised through the event help keep its doors open and support services provided at no cost, alongside grant funding.

The evening’s murder-mystery activity featured 10 “suspects” roaming the ballroom, each with an alibi. Guests followed clues and worked to solve the mystery, adding an interactive element to the masquerade celebration.

A silent auction provided another opportunity to support the organization’s mission.

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Hope Award winners Carl Beadle, Christy Pearson and Doug Followell.

Members of the Wabash Valley Recovery Center in Terre Haute were credited for solving every clue in the murder mystery first.

The activity brought a playful spirit to an evening focused on community support and recovery.

Community members interested in getting involved or supporting Adam’s House of Hope can reach out through Facebook or visit the organization at 1320 Jackson St. in Sullivan.
