Braun appoints Solliday for two-year term as USI Student Trustee

Michael Solliday, a computer science major with a minor in computer information systems, has been appointed by Indiana Governor Mike Braun to serve as the Student Trustee for the University of Southern Indiana. His two-year term will run through June 30, 2027, succeeding Fouad Hamami, who held the position from 2023 to 2025.
Hailing from Switz City, Indiana, and a graduate of White River Valley High School, Solliday is deeply involved in campus life. He serves as a USI Student Ambassador and Welcome Week Leader, and actively participates in both the Student Government Association and Student Christian Fellowship. Beyond campus, he volunteers at Crossroads Christian Church in Evansville, where he supports worship services as a camera operator, applying his technical expertise to serve the community.
In his role as Student Trustee, Solliday is dedicated to building meaningful connections between the student body and University leadership. He is focused on enhancing transparency, encouraging inclusive student involvement, and driving progress in both academic and campus life. He plans to listen intentionally, advocate effectively, and faithfully represent the interests of his fellow students.
