New Indoor Golf Facility 'The Bunker' Opens its Doors in Revitalized Linton Commercial Space

New Indoor Golf Facility 'The Bunker' Opens its Doors in Revitalized Linton Commercial Space

LINTON, Ind. — A vacant commercial space in Linton has been given a new lease on life as the city’s newest entertainment and dining venue. The Bunker, a family-owned indoor golf facility and community lounge, is officially opening its doors on Monday October 19th, transforming a former car dealership into a Scottish-inspired clubhouse golf simulator and putting course.

The new business aims to provide Linton residents with a year-round gathering space that defies unpredictable Indiana weather. The facility is anchored by three state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator bays, allowing patrons to play virtual rounds on some of the world’s most famous courses. Alongside the simulators, the venue features a putting green and multiple large-screen televisions, positioning itself as a prime destination for local sports viewing.

However, the owners stress that The Bunker is designed to be much more than a sports complex. Aiming to attract both avid golfers and non-golfers alike, the business model leans heavily into its lounge and hospitality offerings. The interior features a warm, Scottish-inspired design complete with tartans, clan histories, and vintage golf decor.

To encourage patrons to stay and socialize, the venue offers a highly approachable, shareable menu. Offerings include pulled pork nachos, meat and cheese boards, sliders, bruschetta, and seasonal soups like tomato basil bisque.

The Bunker is the brainchild of local husband-and-wife team Jay and Amanda, alongside their children: Brady and his wife Zoie, Peyton, and Cooper. The business concept evolved from a homemade golf simulator Jay built in their house a decade ago, which quickly became a popular hangout for friends. A family trip to St Andrews, Scotland, the historic home of golf, last summer provided the final inspiration to scale their home "bunker" into a commercial community space.

Ultimately, the family hopes this new venture becomes a staple in the Linton business community, providing a comfortable, welcoming local clubhouse for neighbors to eat, drink, and play.
