Fire Hydrant Flushing in Linton

Beginning this evening Wednesday November 12, 2025,
the Linton Water Department will be flushing fire
hydrants.

The flushing process will be conducted this
evening and tomorrow evening. The flushing will begin
each night at 10PM and will last until 6 AM the following
mornings.

Therefore, all flushing activities this week will
be completed by 6 AM on Friday November 14, 2025. It is
anticipated that the water department will need one
additional evening next week to complete the flushing of
the system, we will notify our customers once that is
determined.

During the process, customers may notice a
discoloration of the water. It is recommended that
clothes washing be kept to a minimum during the hours
listed above as discolored water has been known to
cause stains in white or light-colored clothing. For
